Sometimes when I weep
I need to sweep
all the poisons away
to find a way to pray
Sorrow it all it’s forms
Can’t do as much harm
as the choices of a few
that cause sorrow to acrue
Seeing my child weep
nearby unable to comfort sweet
Didn’t hurt as nearly as knowing when
she is going to hurt again
Growing up is so cold
Being there is not as told
Loving her is not enough
Life can be so tough
All I want to do is hold her
Comforting, saving her, giving her my strength
All I want to do is please her
She is my sweet creation
Upon my life, my adoration
